A village of fewer than 300 inhabitants in the Cerdanya, bordering the Cadí range to the west, Montellà i Martinet to the east and Andorra to the north. It is small, but the countryside around it offers many ways to spend the days: cross-country skiing above all, and also hiking, mountaineering, paragliding and cycling.
The village (1,480 m) sits on a south-facing shelf on the mountainside, looking out to the Cadí. It is arranged around the parish church of Sant Pere, a single-nave church with a square bell tower and a pyramidal roof. There are old houses such as Cal Ferrer and Cal Peremptori, and the chapel of the Mare de Déu del Roser, which locals call the Benefici.
