Cross-country skiing in winter, lakes and peaks in summer

In Lles de Cerdanya, Nordic skiing takes centre stage: two resorts in the same municipality. When the snow goes, the same trails lead to lakes, viewpoints and summits above 2,800 m.

Cross-country skiing

The Lles and Aransa resorts

As you would expect in this district, near the house you can go cross-country skiing at the Lles and Aransa resorts, and enjoy related activities such as snowshoe outings. The two resorts are linked by the Autopista circuit and the Pollineres track.

A Nordic ski resort in the municipality of Lles de Cerdanya. The hut is in the Cap del Rec area, where the Orri stream drains the Orri lake, at the foot of the Tossa Plana de Lles (2,916 m).

Besides the ski circuits, it has a route for snowshoes and walkers. The green Autopista circuit passes the Pradell hut and links up with the Aransa resort: this Lles-Aransa route hosts one of the circuits of the Marxa Pirineu, the cross-country ski race held every year at the start of the year.

A Nordic ski resort in the village of Arànser (Aransa in the traditional spelling), also in the municipality of Lles de Cerdanya. The hut is in the Fornell area. Surrounded by the Tossa Plana de Lles (2,916 m) and the Pic de Sirvent (2,836 m), it occupies the basin where the Pera lakes drain towards the Segre.

The red Mirador circuit reaches the highest point, with a superb panorama over the Alt Urgell, the Cerdanya and the Cadí range. The walking circuit to the Pollineres shelter is the access track to the Pera lakes and links up with the Lles resort.

The Tot Nòrdic season pass is valid at Lles, Aransa, Guils, Sant Joan de l'Erm, Tuixent-la Vansa, Virós-Vall Ferrera and Tavascan. The season starts in December and lasts as long as the snow does.

Hiking

Lakes, viewpoints and peaks across the Cerdanya

If you love hiking, Els Escolls sits in a superb setting: facing the Cadí range and the Pyrenees along the border with France and Andorra. You will find lakes, peaks, viewpoints, mountain huts and beautiful scenery. These are the most common trailheads and where they lead.
